You will lead the technical consulting team of our Lift Consultancy Services, Real Estate and Infrastructure Division in ASEAN to support TÜV SÜD ASEAN growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Lift Inspectors and Consultants to conduct professional assessment of lifts and escalators in the following areas:

    • conformity with applicable standards and regulations,

    • maintenance quality,

    • residual lifetime,

    • offers regarding necessity and economic value



  • Overall responsible for the assessment of any degradation and detect defects or weaknesses in the system as well as their importance in relation to the continued safe use of system including but not limited to: use/ misuse, function, safety principles, operation, defects and consequences for use and inspection, wear and tear, fatigue, lifetime aspects, maintenance residual risks, warnings, instructions for the user See more

  • Overall responsible for the assessment of any degradation and detect defects or weaknesses in the system as well as their importance in relation to the continued safe use of system including but not limited to: use/ misuse, function, safety principles, operation, defects and consequences for use and inspection, wear and tear, fatigue, lifetime aspects, maintenance residual risks, warnings, instructions for the user etc

  • Overall responsible for professional assessment of technical specification (documents) and lift status on site

  • Carry out site visits, interviews with Clients including traffic simulation analysis to understand Client’s vertical transportation needs.

  • Develop Concept design, Client budget plans, cost estimation and technical specification for lift modernisation

  • Manage on behalf of the Client the delivery and installation of lifts, upgrade or repair works.

  • Build, coach, develop a team of lift inspectors and lift consultants.


Key Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering discipline

  • Possess at least 10 years of related experience in consultancy services for lifts and escalators preferably in the following applications

    • new lift installation and modernization

    • maintenance services including repair and emergency call reactions, fault eliminations etc

    • construction and planning of lifts design for varied lift manufacturers

    • computation of cost of repairs



  • Satisfactory knowledge of risk-based assessment

  • Knowledge in electrical control technology for lift preferred

  • Demonstrated physical and mental fitness required for high-risk lift and escalator inspections

  • Strong team player with independent thinking

  • Target oriented, systematic strong problem solver
